How Do You Join PRSSA?

The Fall 2011 class meets at the Center on Main, Tuesday and Thursday from 3:15-4:30p.m. Members earn 1 to 3 credits, but more importantly, they get hands on experience. Motivated students from any major who are ready to build lasting relationships and gain professional experience are encouraged to join. Enroll in COMM 113/313 Communication Activities: Public Relations and to earn credit for participating. If you have questions, please contact us.

The Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) is the leading pre-professional public relations society in the country. As a member, you have access to a wide range of benefits that will enhance your knowledge of the public relations profession and provide you with resources to increase your marketability.

What PRSSA National Offers

Scholarships. You may apply for many PRSSA scholarships.
Events. You can attend PRSSA National events at a discounted registration rate.
News and Intelligence. You’ll receive PRSA’s monthly newspaper, PR Tactics, PRSSA’s national newspaper, FORUM, and the PRSSA Biweekly Update and other PRSSA e mail announcements.
Network. You’ll be invited to participate in the Affiliate Facebook page and all other PRSSA social media sites.

Enhance Your Education

Events. Network, learn and interact with public relations students from around the country at PRSSA events like National Conference, National Assembly and Regional Activities.
Competitions. Apply what you’ve learned in the classroom, add to your portfolio and work with high-profile clients by taking the opportunity to compete in one of our many case study competitions.
Leadership. Add to your résumé and gain valuable leadership skills by running for office in your Chapter, student-run firm or the PRSSA National Committee.
Scholarships and Awards. Be recognized for your accomplishments or let us help you fund your education through one of the many scholarships and awards PRSSA offers students each year.

PRSA Associate Membership. Start networking and get connected to 20,000 public relations professionals when you join PRSA as an Associate Member for only $60 up to five months before or two years after graduation.
